Luke 11:5-13

When we've run out of time and opportunity, when cleverness and mortal strength have failed, when all our other options are gone, that's when we throw up a "Hail Mary" prayer. We do it instinctively, reflexively —like the way a man lacking oxygen gasps for breath and the way a man who is falling reaches out for something to grab. Desperate people pray without thinking about it; they pray even if they are not sure who they’re praying to or if anyone out there is listening.   John Ortberg

Although there is a segment of our society that denies the existence of God, most people, at some point in their lives, pray. So … it only makes sense that we take the time to learn to do it effectively - and even more so if you're a follower of Jesus.
